This 'Botteld in Bond' is intended to commemorate the year 1897. At that time, the US government passed the so-called 'Botteld-in-Bond Act'. In the 19th century, whisky was not usually bottled, which meant that many shop owners who wanted to sell it added additives or diluted the whisky after purchasing it from the distilleries in order to make more profit. Jack Daniels was one of the first companies to start bottling whisky in 1895. This was to ensure that no one could subsequently change anything in the whisky. The Botteld in Bond Act set certain requirements for the whisky to ensure its quality. Jack Daniel's is probably the best known brand that offers this type of whiskey worldwide. It is usually produced like bourbon, i.e. the mash from which the distillate is made must consist of at least 51% corn; other types of grain such as barley or rye can also be used. This is followed by fermentation and distillation. Before this now enters the step of barrel maturation, comes the decisive big difference that defines a Tennessee whiskey: the so-called 'Lincoln Country Process'. In this process, the whiskey is filtered through a more or less thick layer (the thickness of this layer varies from distillery to distillery) of charcoal from sugar maple. The purpose of this method is on the one hand to produce a softer whiskey, and on the other to filter out any disruptive suspended particles. The whiskey is then stored in mostly oak barrels. Jack Daniels Tennessee Whiskey Sinatra Select One of the newest varieties is Tennessee Whiskey Sinatra Select. This was created by master distiller Jeff Arnett in honor of Frank Sinatra, who would have celebrated his 100th birthday. For a very special whiskey, Arnett selected special barrels with particularly deep notches. This special feature allows the whisky to work even more intensively with the oak during barrel maturation and thus develops a much stronger oak aroma.

The aim is to expand its global presence and reach new consumers through the McLaren team's platform. The Jack Daniel's Sour Mash Tennessee Whiskey McLaren Edition 2023 0.7L 40% contains the proven Old No. 7 Tennessee Whiskey, which is already appreciated around the world. This whiskey is filtered through charcoal and consists of a mash with 80% corn, 8% rye and 12% malted barley, with the alcohol content being the usual 40%. This Jack Daniels Sour Mash Tennessee Whiskey McLaren Edition 2023 presents itself as a creamy and smooth whiskey. This balanced blend includes medium-strong caramel, vanilla and toasted oak notes. In terms of aroma, this Sour Mash whiskey unfolds nuances of caramel, accompanied by subtle hints of banana and oak.
