J & B Whisky

The history of J & B Whisky goes back to the 18th century. At that time, Justerini, who comes from Bologna, moved to the British 'big city' of London. Equipped with old recipes for various liqueurs, Justerini's goal was to open his own spirits factory. Luckily, he met George Johnson in London, with whom he was able to open a small wine shop and pursue his dream. When Albert Brooks' business was put up for sale in 1831, they didn't have to think twice and bought the business. Brooks continued to offer advice and support for a while, so that over time they were able to specialize in the distribution of whisky.

The taste

You might think the makers of J & B Rare whisky are crazy when you hear that this is a blend of up to forty different grain whiskies. Contrary to all expectations, however, J & B Rare is a balanced and well-rounded blended whisky that is one of the most popular Scottish blends.

Black & White Blended Scotch Whisky 1.0L 40% About Black & White Blended Scotch Whisky Black & White Blended Scotch Whisky is one of the great old Blended Scotch brands and one of the most successful whisky bottlings in the world. Black & White Whisky was founded almost 200 years ago by the company Buchanan & Co Ltd, founded by James Buchanan. Black & White was initially marketed as "The Buchanan Blend" and later renamed "House of Commons" because Buchanan managed to sign a contract with the House of Commons. However, as his customers only ever ordered "Black & White" because of the black and white label, the whisky also bore this name from then on. The idea for the famous terriers, a black Scottish Terrier and a white West Highland White Terrier, also came from the founder himself. Black & White Blended Scotch Whisky now belongs to the international drinks group Diageo and is sold in numerous countries around the world. The production of Black & White Blended Scotch Whisky Like all blended Scotch whisky, Black & White Blended Scotch Whisky is made up of numerous grain and malt whiskies. It is difficult to find out the exact composition, but it is known that malts from Glentauchers and Dalwhinnie were used in the past. Since Dalwhinnie now belongs to Diageo, it is likely that this malt whisky is still used to make Black & White Blended Scotch Whisky. The taste of Black & White Blended Scotch Whisky On the nose, Black & White Blended Scotch Whisky is floral and almost playful. On the palate, the Black & White Blended Scotch Whisky is a little stronger with a lovely malty sweetness and hints of oak and caramel. The aftertaste of the Black & White Blended Scotch Whisky is not particularly long, but it is certainly pleasant. A blended whisky that you should try at least once in your life!

J & B Urban Honey Whisky Likör 0,7L 35%
J & B Urban Honey Whisky Liqueur 0.7L 35% History behind J & B The Italian master distiller Giacamo Justerini fell in love with a young opera singer named Margherita Bellini. His love was unrequited, but that did not stop him from following her to London, England. There he opened an import business for wine and southern distillates and developed into one of the best suppliers to the noble houses. Rumor has it that even King George |||. was one of his customers!!! Margherita introduced Giacamo to a friend, Samuel Johnson, whose nephew George Johnson later became his business partner. After two generations of Johnson, Alfred Brooks bought the company and renamed it J & B. These letters stand for Justerini and Brooks. Justerini & Brooks recognised the growing potential for whisky and bought up a large proportion of the still maturing whisky, creating the first blend 'Club'. This can still be bought today in J&B shops in St. James' Street, London and George Street, Edinburgh. J&B Whisky has never been a classic Scottish whisky. Experimentation has been a habit here, and that's no wonder, as J&B Whisky was born in the country's capital, London, which is known for innovation and craziness. Here the boundaries of normal whisky have always been pushed, but always with top results. The bottle design is not necessarily more unusual than that of normal J&B whiskies, but one thing does catch the eye. The B in J&B is printed on the label with a bee, which represents the reference to the honey it contains. Great idea!!! Tasting The warming sweetness combined with the delicious, well-known J&B whisky notes. An elegant blend with an exquisite balance of sweetness and bitter whisky aromas. With the J & B Urban Honey Whisky, the brand has remained true to itself when it comes to creativity and reinvention in whisky. Anyone who was already a fan of J&B whiskies should definitely not miss out on this special creation!
