Black & White Whisky was founded almost 200 years ago by the company Buchanan & Co Ltd, founded by James Buchanan. Black & White was initially marketed as "The Buchanan Blend" and later renamed "House of Commons" because Buchanan managed to sign a contract with the House of Commons. However, as his customers only ever ordered "Black & White" because of the black and white label, the whisky also bore this name from then on. The idea for the famous terriers, a black Scottish Terrier and a white West Highland White Terrier, also came from the founder himself. Black & White Blended Scotch Whisky now belongs to the international drinks group Diageo and is sold in numerous countries around the world. The production of Black & White Blended Scotch Whisky Like all blended Scotch whisky, Black & White Blended Scotch Whisky is made up of numerous grain and malt whiskies. It is difficult to find out the exact composition, but it is known that malts from Glentauchers and Dalwhinnie were used in the past. Since Dalwhinnie now belongs to Diageo, it is likely that this malt whisky is still used to make Black & White Blended Scotch Whisky. The taste of Black & White Blended Scotch Whisky On the nose, Black & White Blended Scotch Whisky is floral and almost playful. On the palate, the Black & White Blended Scotch Whisky is a little stronger with a lovely malty sweetness and hints of oak and caramel. The aftertaste of the Black & White Blended Scotch Whisky is not particularly long, but it is certainly pleasant. A blended whisky that you should try at least once in your life!
