This straight bourbon gets its name 'Elijah Craig' from a special key figure in American bourbon history, Reverend Elijah Craig, who in 1789 is said to have been the first person in spirits history to put the finished distillate into burnt oak barrels for the first time and store it there for some time.

The Elijah Craig Small Batch Straight Bourbon is made up of both corn and rye whiskey. There is no longer an exact age, but it is known that the blend is made up of barrels that have been stored for between eight and twelve years.
In terms of taste, you can look forward to a complex, soft and warming bourbon. Oak and nutmeg initially dominate the taste, but then give way to sweet vanilla and fruit notes as well as various spices. Sweet notes are also present for a long time in the long-lasting finish.
