As part of a French overseas department, the island of Martinique combines unique influences from France and West Indian culture. The excellent conditions for growing sugar cane, thanks to the fertile volcanic soil and the special highland climate at the foot of the Pelée volcano, give the Rhum Agricole produced here, especially the Depaz Cuvée de la Montagne, an unmistakable taste. The Depaz Cuvee Blanc De La Montagne Agricole Rhum 0.7L is made exclusively from pure sugar cane juice grown at the foot of Mount Pelée. After extensive fermentation, careful reduction over 60 days and a rest period of at least three months in stainless steel tanks, the Depaz Cuvée de la Montagne is bottled as a fresh, aromatic Rhum Agricole Blanc with an alcohol content of 45% vol. This Depaz Cuvee Blanc De La Montagne Agricole Rhum 0.7L 45% impresses with a rich, fresh, fruity and floral nose that is typical of the Pelée region and is accompanied by mineral notes. On the palate, it is sweet and insistent with fruity honey sweetness and floral nuances. Aromas of sugar cane, orange blossom, banana as well as spicy pepper and tobacco make it a versatile pleasure - whether pure, in the classic Ti Punch or as a base for fruity cocktails.

Located at the foot of the Montagne Pelée, the distillery offers ideal conditions for the production of Rhums Agricole directly from fresh sugar cane. The Depaz VSOP Reserve Speciale Agricole Rhum 0.7L 45% underwent a long maturation phase in selected oak barrels, which gives this rum an impressive variety of aromas and a fine character. The color of the rum is a light mahogany. On the nose it is complex and aromatic with notes of chocolate, roasted nuts, tobacco, licorice, plum, vanilla and sweet oak. On the palate, the Depaz Special Reserve VSOP shows similar perceptions; it is round, balanced, has a lot of finesse and a pleasant aftertaste. The Depaz Spécial Réserve Rhum VSOP was awarded the gold medal at the general agricultural competition in Paris in 2009 and 2012.
