The Depaz distillery in Martinique can look back on an impressive history that dates back to 1635. As part of a French overseas department, the island of Martinique combines unique influences from France and West Indian culture. The excellent conditions for growing sugar cane, thanks to the fertile volcanic soil and the special highland climate at the foot of the Pelée volcano, give the Rhum Agricole produced here, especially the Depaz Cuvée de la Montagne, an unmistakable taste.
The Depaz Cuvee Blanc De La Montagne Agricole Rhum 0.7L is made exclusively from pure sugar cane juice grown at the foot of Mount Pelée. After extensive fermentation, careful reduction over 60 days and a rest period of at least three months in stainless steel tanks, the Depaz Cuvée de la Montagne is bottled as a fresh, aromatic Rhum Agricole Blanc with an alcohol content of 45% vol.
This Depaz Cuvee Blanc De La Montagne Agricole Rhum 0.7L 45% impresses with a rich, fresh, fruity and floral nose that is typical of the Pelée region and is accompanied by mineral notes. On the palate, it is sweet and insistent with fruity honey sweetness and floral nuances. Aromas of sugar cane, orange blossom, banana as well as spicy pepper and tobacco make it a versatile pleasure - whether pure, in the classic Ti Punch or as a base for fruity cocktails.
