Saint Benevolence Rum Clairin 0,7L 50%
Saint Benevolence Rum Clairin 0.7L 50% Saint Benevolence Rum Clairin from Haiti is handcrafted from a field blend of Cristalline, Madame Meuze, Farine France and 24/14; indigenous sugar cane clones grown organically in the fertile alluvial soils and tropical climate of Saint Michel de l'Attalaye. The sugar cane is grown organically in the fields immediately surrounding the Dorcinvil Distillery, a third generation family farm responsible for the high quality farming and production of Saint Benevolence Rum Clairin. Our farmers use natural agricultural practices free of herbicides, pesticides and other chemicals. The sugar cane is hand harvested, pressed and fermented with wild yeasts for five to seven days to create a vibrant Vin de Canne: a freshly fermented cane juice, aged with the distinctive grassy notes of the local Saint Michel terroir. As a tribute to Saint Michel, the town where our spirit originated, a separate batch of the freshly pressed cane juice is made into syrup and fermented using the local Saint Michel method. The distillation process has changed little compared to traditional French techniques used throughout Haiti dating back to the 18th century. The high-quality cane juice and syrup are distilled separately in small batches in a single pass through our hand-crafted Creole copper still. Saint Benevolence's specially developed Rum Clairin blend of sugar cane juice and syrup truly reflects the purest essence of Haiti's unique terroir and the tradition of Saint Michel. Saint Benevolence Rum Clairin impresses with a unique play of aromas. The nose reveals clear notes of green banana, spicy wasabi (Japanese horseradish) and earthy smoky nuances, accompanied by a hint of wet gravel. On the palate, a wealth of roasted white peppercorns, cloves and green olive sauce unfold, crowned by an underlying sweetness. The finish is long-lasting and harmonious.
