In addition to the best conditions for growing sugar cane, it is obvious that a rum distillery is also located here. This has been here since 1870. With its extraordinary nature and unique ecosystem, the island has many facets to offer. In order to express this and bring it to the world, it was decided to develop 'The Wild Island Edition'. It pays homage to wild nature, which is often still so original and untouched. Savanna Traditionnel 2003 16YO 'Armagnac Finish' The fourth product in 'The Wild Island' special edition is the Traditionnel 2003 16 YO 'Armagnac Finish'. It most closely reflects the typical rum character of Savanna. At first it is very intense and rich on the nose, but clear aromas cannot yet be detected. It needs some time to fully develop. Then earthy, almost mineral aromas emerge. It is reminiscent of salt water and slightly smoky to medicinal notes with subtle spices. On the palate it is clearly defined: rich and full in flavor with various spices and salty licorice. The sweet, tart molasses notes are just as noticeable as plum notes.

Savanna Rhum 2015/2023 Tres Vieux VAST 0.7L 52% The Savanna Rhum 2015/2023 Tres Vieux VAST 0.7 liter 52% from Reunion is a unique fusion of two extremely old, traditional molasses rums distilled in a C20 distillation column, as well as two others distilled in a copper Savalle column. On the nose, this rum, aged for 8 years, reveals a fruity, balsamic aroma with notes of molasses and liquorice, accompanied by a hint of menthol and a light waxy note. The taste of this Savanna rum harmonizes perfectly with the scent perception, with the dominant taste of liquorice standing out in particular. The finish is pleasant and corresponds to the characteristic profile of molasses rums, whereby the noticeable influence of the distillates from the Savalle column is evident.
