Pere Labat Rhum Clos Parcellaire Les Mangles 0.7L 61% The Père Labat brand originates from the island of Marie-Galante and has its roots in the 18th century when Madame Poisson acquired the property, which at the time was a simple sugar factory on the island. In the early years of the 20th century, Mr. Rameau, who had taken over the property, made significant improvements. He invested in a still and a Creole column made of red copper, transforming Domaine Poisson from a sugar refinery into a distillery. As a tribute to a pioneer in fresh sugar cane wine distillation, Father Labat, the high-quality rums produced according to the traditions of the Poisson distillery became known as "Rums of Père Labat". The fermentation of Pere Labat Clos Parcellaire Les Mangles Rhum 0.7L 61% Vol. lasts a full 80 hours. After distillation in Creole copper columns, the resulting rum is distilled at 70.7°C and then reduced to 61°C. Aromas of flowers and exotic fruits unfold on the nose. The palate is dominated by an elegant, fresh structure, accompanied by a hint of vanilla and notes of mango and passion fruit. The finish is fresh and long-lasting.
