Gustav Dill Vodka, 0.7L 40% The beginnings of the distillery Lignell & Piispanen has been on the Finnish market since 1852 and has once again shown the value of experience with its “Gustav Dill Vodka”. The takeover of the “Crown Distillery” in 1859 at the instigation of entrepreneur Gustav Ranin laid the foundation for the distillery’s products today. The distillery, which had already been in operation for 76 years, had already made progress before the time of Lignell & Piispanen under King Gustav III of Sweden set standards for the entire art of distilling in the country from the city of Kuopio. Today, the “Crown Distillery” has been family-owned for seven generations, which is partly why the Arctic wilderness flows into the taste of the distillates and shapes the country. So it is not surprising that the taste of “Gustav Tilli Dill Vodka” by Lignell & Piispanen always reminds one of more northern regions. The production and craftsmanship behind Gustav Dill Vodka The basis for this flavoured vodka is the fine Gustav Vodka, which is still distilled according to the original “Chase Islay Whisky Cask Aged Vodka” recipe. The care with which the distillation is carried out is quite remarkable and, compared to other mass production of vodka, an extraordinary special feature. It gives the product an incomparable purity and softness. The traditional art is still the central focus of production to this day and at the same time promotes the impressive quality. The dill vodka is produced through a complex maceration process and thus takes on the fine taste of the plant, but is not completely suppressed by it. The natural, excellent aromas blend in with the distillate's own taste in a present but not overpowering way. This well-balanced flavoured vodka is known by its name throughout Finland and is a perfect accompaniment to regional fish and seafood, but also combined with basil it makes a delicious gin and tonic.

The Nordic regions with their fascinating botanicals are always an inspiration for the company. With a company history spanning more than 165 years, we can proudly say that this has always been successful. To this day, it is the third oldest company still in operation in Finland! When Gustav Ranin founded the company in 1852, he imported and sold high-quality whiskeys and cognacs. The oldest products still owned by the family and still available are the Savon Wiina from 1869, the Great Cognac from 1872 and the Honeycomb from 1882. Today the company is focused in a different direction and is responsible for producing the finest spirits itself. With its products, the distillery wants to bring a small piece of Finland to the world. Great importance is attached to transparency and sustainable development. Over the years the company has learned to concentrate on the essentials, on special aromas in which the origin can be recognized. Metsä Gin The name comes from the Finnish word 'Metsä', which means 'forest' in English. The Finnish Gustav Metsä Gin is a real 'forest gin'. Only herbs, berries and spices from the Nordic forests are used in its production. Spruce shoots, rowan berries and birch leaves, to name just a few of the botanicals, are the main ingredients in this Nordic gin, along with pronounced juniper aromas. The floral and spicy notes first appear on the nose. Its full complexity then becomes apparent on the palate. The aromas already identified are joined by other herbs, cardamom and a refreshing note of citrus fruits.
