The Long Pond Distillery in Jamaica presents a new bottling: the Long Pond VRW 2003 18 years Single Cask Rum. It is a limited edition. There are only 320 bottles worldwide. The distillation took place in 2003 in a John Dore Double Retort Pot Still from the molasses of the native Jamaican sugar cane. This rum has an ester content of 150 to 250 grams per hectoliter of pure alcohol, which corresponds to the VRW mark of the former Vale Royal Distillery. VRW stands for Vale Royal Wedderburn. The term "Wedderburn" is one of 4 Jamaican ester brands.

The rum was aged for 18 years in an oak barrel in a tropical climate. A total of 320 bottles could be filled from the oak barrel at a cask strength of 60 percent. No additives were used.

Long Pond Rum ITP 15 Years Single Mark Rum Special Edition 0.7L 45.7% Long Pond - sugar settlement and distillery The Jamaican spirits distillery 'Long Pond' was founded in the middle of the 18th century and is one of the most influential distilleries on the island alongside Hampden and Monymusk, for example. The distillery, located in the municipality of Trelawny, is one of the few remaining distilleries on the island that has managed to remain steadfast over the centuries despite steadily falling sugar prices and industrialization. Long Pond does not have its own clear, recognizable style. By taking over various distilleries, their equipment and their distilling styles, Long Pond is broadly positioned and can therefore now offer a wide range of rum styles. In general, however, it can be said about traditional Jamaican rum that it is more in the high ester range, although Long Pond categorizes it much more finely than the usual general classification. ITP/LSO One of these special 'marks', as these categories are called, is the Distillery Mark 'ITP' - 'Ive Trelawny Pot'. This rum has been distilled at Long Pond since the 1980s and has an ester content of 90-120 (gr/hlpa). This mark was first mentioned in 2018 by the French independent bottler Maison Ferrand.

Bristol Jamaica Long Pond 1985/2022 Rum 0,7L 49,5%
Bristol Jamaica Long Pond 1985/2022 Rum 0.7L 49.5% Long Pond Jamaica In 1985, this rum was distilled in the Long Pond distillery in a pot still. Unfilled in American refill barrels, it then matured in a tropical climate until 1997. In 1997, it was shipped to Great Britain, where it then continued to mature until 2022. Finally, it was bottled with an alcohol content of 49.5% vol. and without chill filtration. On the nose, the almost 40-year-old rum is quite complex. The focus is on notes of dried fruit and nuts. On the palate, it is also complex with deep aromas. In addition to dried fruit and roasted nuts, the aroma of oak wood is particularly noticeable here.
