Gustav Cloudberry Liqueur, 0.5 L, 21% The Gustav liqueurs from Lignell & Piispanen The Gustav Cloudberry Liqueur is produced by the Finnish company Lignell & Piispanen. This company has a long tradition that goes back to 1852. At that time, a certain Gustav Ranin founded the company and a few years later bought the Crown Distillery in the city of Kuopio. The Crown Distillery was once made famous by King Gustav III of Sweden and was known throughout the country for its advanced technology and the high quality of the distillates produced there. Gustav Ranin wanted to further improve the spirits from the Crown Distillery and since this was hardly technologically possible at the time, he decided early on that only the highest quality ingredients should be used for his products in order to increase the quality. It was also important to him that the ingredients came from the Arctic circles and were harvested without causing major damage to nature. The Lignell & Piispanen company, now run by Harri Nylund in the sixth generation, still follows this philosophy today. The Gustav Cloudberry Liqueur The Cloudberry Liqueur is also produced strictly according to these quality criteria. The basic ingredient is cloudberries, which are known in Germany as cloudberries. The cloudberry is a very rare plant that bears yellow-orange fruit and thrives in the boreal and circumpolar zones. The very small stocks in Germany are strictly protected. The cloudberries for the Gustav Cloudberry Liqueur are harvested in the wild, which means a lot of work. After the harvest, the cloudberries are mixed with sugar and home-made alcohol and the mixture is then left to mature for several months. After the maturation period, the mixture is pressed, filtered and bottled at 21% vol. bottled in elegant designer bottles. The taste of Gustav Cloudberry Liqueur The gentle Cloudberry Liqueur has an orange-yellow color and a floral and fruity smell, similar to cloudberries. On the palate, Cloudberry Liqueur impresses with aromas of honey and apricots as well as nuances of delicate flowers. We recommend enjoying Gustav Cloudberry Liqueur slightly chilled and neat. However, it is also suitable for use in cocktails!

Loimu Glögi 2021 0.75L 15% Lignell & Piispanen The small family distillery from Finland has been producing high-quality spirits for years, including various berry liqueurs and vodka. The family began producing various spirits by hand in the early 1850s. The focus was always on naturalness and the connection to Finnish vegetation. The various berries and plants are hand-picked from untouched nature in the Nordic forests of Finland and processed into the finest, high-quality spirits. A particular annual highlight of the distillery is the vintage Glögg, which is being released again this year. Every year, the strong red wine that serves as the base is refined with various berries. For the 2021 vintage, raspberries and currants were chosen. These were refined by adding winter spices such as cardamom, cinnamon or cloves. Lignell & Piispanen recommends: Drink the Glögg in good company and heated to no more than 60 degrees. First add almonds, raisins and/or other dried fruits to the cup, then pour the warmed Loimu Glögg over it.
