Foursquare Fine Barbados Rum Empery 14 years 0.7L 56% RL Seale Distillery The history of the successful Foursquare distillery began in 1820, when the Seale family was still working as rum traders or blenders, making them one of the oldest trading houses in Barbados. At that time, however, there was a law that prevented them from selling rum directly to the end consumer. So they had to find a way around this. It was Reginald Leon Seals who came up with the idea of founding a trading network in Bridgetown, and the RL Seale company was born. Today, the company is run by Richard Seals, the fifth generation. Empery 14 Years Rum The Barbados distillery presents a limited single blend with its Empery 14 YO Rum. It contains distillates that were distilled in both pot stills and column stills and matured in two different types of barrels, namely ex-bourbon and ex-sherry barrels, for a total of 14 years. In 2018, the different rums were then married and bottled at cask strength, again without coloring and without chill filtration. This has resulted in a complex rum that has spicy, fruity and subtly sweet notes. The aromas can be described as dried fruit, dark chocolate, roasted nuts and oak spice.

Foursquare Rum 2010 Cask Strength 0.7L 60% Two renowned distilleries have joined forces for this unique Foursquare Rum 2010 Cask Strength 0.7L 60% bottling: The Foursquare Rum Distillery from Barbados and Hampden Estate Rums from Jamaica. Although the Foursquare Rum Distillery remains the main production site, this rum combines the best of both worlds. The Foursquare Rum 2010 Cask Strength matures for 12 years in ex-bourbon barrels and presents full-bodied notes. Without the addition of sugar or coloring and of course without cold filtration, this rum shows true authenticity. The nose is beguiled by tropical fruits and rich vanilla. On the palate, nuances of vanilla, spicy cinnamon, ginger and ripe fruits unfold. The finish is long and pleasantly soft.

It is produced using a combination of artistic pot still distillation and traditional multi-column Coffey distillation from sugar cane molasses. This rum is only bottled when the highest quality is guaranteed and is presented unfiltered. Foursquare Rum 2011 Cask Strength 0.7L 60% is a deep amber. Aromas of grapefruit, cocoa, caramel, clove, allspice, sandalwood and a salty breeze unfold on the nose. On the palate it is powerful yet smooth, with nuances of black tea, lemon peel, molasses, spices and exotic fruits. The finish is long, dry and with subtle tannins.
