The Foursquare distillery, located on the picturesque island of Barbados, is not only the oldest distillery still in production, but also proudly has its own sugar cane plantation, which is located directly next to it. The history of this renowned company began in 1926, when Reginald Leon Seal founded RL Seale and Company. Over the years, the family acquired various rum brands from the region, and today the distillery is under the expert management of Master Distiller Richard Seale, who is already in the fourth generation.

An outstanding product from Foursquare's Exceptional Cask Selection is the Foursquare Rum Indelible 11 Years, bottled in handy 0.7 liters with an alcohol content of 48%. This exclusive rum went through a unique maturation process under tropical conditions for 11 years and rested in two different types of barrels. One part matured in ex-bourbon barrels, while another part was initially stored for about 5 years in ex-primitivo barrels and then matured in ex-bourbon barrels. The limited bottling of this exceptional rum finally took place in September 2021.

The careful dilution to drinking strength before bottling at 48% vol. enables the mature aromas of this unique rum to be brought out to their best advantage. Foursquare Rum 2009 Cask Strength 0.7L 60% Traditional rum Over the years there have unfortunately been fewer and fewer truly traditional, long-established distilleries that are still dedicated to rum production. One of them can be found on the Caribbean island of Barbados. Rum has been produced here since 1820 on a site of almost three and a half hectares, near a sugar cane factory. The Foursquare Estate, as it is called, has been owned by the Seale's family since the 17th century. Exceptional Cask The special editions of the Foursquare distillery are generally known under the name 'Exceptional Cask Series'. The distillery is now presenting the 2009 Cask Strength Rum as its 17th bottling, which impresses with its powerful aroma when bottled at cask strength. Although the Foursquare Rum Distillery remains the main production site, this rum combines the best of both worlds. The Foursquare Rum 2010 Cask Strength matures for 12 years in ex-bourbon barrels and presents full-bodied notes. Without the addition of sugar or coloring and of course without cold filtration, this rum shows true authenticity. The nose is beguiled by tropical fruits and rich vanilla. On the palate, nuances of vanilla, spicy cinnamon, ginger and ripe fruits unfold. The finish is long and pleasantly soft.

Foursquare Rum 2011 Cask Strength 0.7L 60% Foursquare 2011 Cask Strength Mark XXIV is a 12 year old single blended overproof rum from the Foursquare distillery in Barbados. It is produced using a combination of artistic pot still distillation and traditional multi-column Coffey distillation from sugar cane molasses. This rum is only bottled when the highest quality is guaranteed and is presented unfiltered. Foursquare Rum 2011 Cask Strength 0.7L 60% is a deep amber. Aromas of grapefruit, cocoa, caramel, clove, allspice, sandalwood and a salty breeze unfold on the nose. On the palate it is powerful yet smooth, with nuances of black tea, lemon peel, molasses, spices and exotic fruits. The finish is long, dry and with subtle tannins.
