Drumshanbo Gunpowder Irish Gin 1.0L 43%

The Shed Distillery

The name of this gin with its strong character alone arouses curiosity. Drumshanbo is a small, idyllic town in Ireland, and Gunpowder is not gunpowder, but a special Chinese green tea! The tea leaves are shaped into small balls, which is reminiscent of gunpowder, and is therefore derived from English.
Pat Rigney built the distillery in the tranquil town of Drumshanbo with the desire to produce hand-crafted whisky and gin, far away from any mass production.

Gunpowder Irish Gin 1.0L 43%

Gunpowder Irish Gin has a crossover character, combining Irish and oriental botanicals. In addition to the well-known ones such as coriander seeds and juniper, there is also Chinese lime, Gunpowder Tea Kaffir Lime and grapefruit. The latter are in the infusion basket. This means that the gin absorbs these additional aromas on its way through the distillery.
A real explosion of aromas awaits you on the palate. An abundance of spice, the bitterness of the tea and, above all, juniper are clearly present. The Gunpowder Tea also brings invigorating fresh notes, as it has an aroma of smoky peppermint. The Gunpowder Irish Gin finishes with a long and spicy aftertaste.

Pusser's British Navy Rum Black Label Gunpowder proof, 0,7L 54,5%
Pusser's British Navy Rum Black Label Gunpowder proof, 0.7L 54.5% History and production of Pussers Black Label Gunpowder Proof: Pussers Rum has a long tradition that is closely linked to British seafaring. As payment and to boost morale, marines on board the Royal Navy were given a rum ration (called tot) every day at 12 noon sharp, which consisted of a total of 70 ml of rum with an alcohol content of 54.5% vol. Depending on military rank, the rum was handed out neat or diluted with water. The tradition of daily tots continued until July 31, 1970. As a result of scientific and medical findings, increased alcohol consumption was classified as hazardous to health and the rum ration on Royal Navy ships was declared to be over. Nine years later, Pussers Rum Ltd. was founded with the goal of bringing the Royal Navy's historic rum blend back to life and selling it worldwide. To do this, company founder Charles Tobias acquired the original recipe, which calls for a total of five different rums from the West Indies. Since then, authentic Navy rum with different alcohol strengths has been produced under the name Pusser's Rum. The name Pussers Rum was chosen in reference to the quartermaster responsible for serving the rum. He was casually called "pusser," which in turn is derived from the English word purser. To improve the clarity of the portfolio, the label design of the standard range was recently changed. The world-famous Pussers British Navy Rum with its 40% alcohol by volume comes in classic navy blue. The Navy Strength Rum with 54.5% alcohol by volume, which also previously had a blue label, is now marketed as Pussers Black Label Gunpowder Proof with a black and gold label to avoid confusion. The Pussers Black Label Gunpowder Proof owes its name to an interesting story. To check the alcohol content of their daily rum ration, the sailors of the Royal Navy mixed the rum they were given with gunpowder and set it on fire. Only when the mixture burned did the rum have the prescribed alcohol strength of 54.5% vol. Tasting the Pussers Black Label Gunpowder Proof: The Pussers Black Label Gunpowder Proof has a dark color reminiscent of amber. Due to the high viscosity, delicate streaks run down the glass wall. On the nose, the Pussers Black Label Gunpowder Proof presents a rich, pleasantly sweet bouquet. Intense aromas of vanilla and caramel, candied orange peel, toffee and tropical fruits create a wonderfully harmonious combination. A spicy oak note in the background, which is complemented by slightly bitter notes, provides additional complexity. The Pussers Black Label Gunpowder Proof is, as expected, strong and full-bodied at first. A whole range of different notes ensure a true explosion of flavor on the tongue. Once again on the sweet side, vanilla, caramel candies and gingerbread come to the fore. Christmas spices, especially cinnamon and cloves, as well as bananas, mangos and apricots create an enormous variety that nevertheless seems balanced. The exceptionally long, warming finish also reveals oak spices, tobacco and hints of leather. This makes the Pussers Black Label Gunpowder Proof an excellent rum, which, due to its intensity and aromatic strength, is ideal for all types of mixed drinks and cocktails, especially the world-famous Painkiller.

An Dulaman Irish Maritim Gin 0,5L 43,2%
An Dulaman Irish Maritim Gin 0.5L 43.2% Sliabh Liag Distillery The Sliabh Liag Distillery has set itself the task of continuing the distilling heritage of Donagal by building the first distillery in over 170 years. With a great passion for Irish whiskey from authentic brands, the founders want to give their version of the legends and stories surrounding The Donagal Gaeltacht. Last year, Silkie Blended Irish Whiskey was introduced and the An Dúlamán Irish Maritime Gin distillery was launched in a rented building nearby. The construction phase continues and the distillery wants to continue to expand. The Sliabh Liag Whiskey Distillery wants to grow on a 20 hectare site in order to be able to produce up to 400,000 litres of triple distilled single malt and pot still whiskey annually. The distillery is targeting two spirits sectors that have enjoyed increasing growth in recent years. Firstly, Irish whiskey, which has been the fastest growing spirits category over the last 7 years, and secondly, super premium gin, which has scored points with the most unusual recipes. An Dulaman Irish Maritime Gin The premium Dulaman Irish Maritime Gin is the first gin to be distilled in County Donegal. It is produced near the coast at the foot of the Sliabh Liag. To make Dulaman Irish Maritim Gin as unique as possible, the distillers try to capture the 'magic of the sea' by using five of the region's native seaweed species and six other plants. The gin is bottled at 43.2% and bottled in dark, elegant 50cl bottles that are reminiscent of old stranded bottles found along the Donagal coast. To complete the overall picture, each bottle has been sealed with a wax seal. The taste of Dulaman Maritim Irish Gin The juniper is in the foreground on the palate, and as this taste fades it is filled with umami: a tasty mixture of sweet, sour, salty and bitter. A hint of chestnut can also be detected. Notes of peach follow in the aftertaste.

An Dulaman Santa Ana Armada Strength Gin 0,5L 57%
An Dulaman Santa Ana Armada Strength Gin 0.5L 57% Sliabhliag Distillers The small town of Donegal is often seen as a place in itself and so the products of the Sliabhliag Distillers speak for themselves and embody spirits that are made according to recipes with strong local influences. With a tradition rich in over 175 years, the company has already experienced a lot and therefore also has a lot to tell or pass on. With each individual product, the company commemorates a particularly historical event, legend or folk tale. The focus was on reviving a smoky whisky with strong Irish influences. Recently, however, the company has also ventured into the gin industry. This is how the An Dulaman Santa Ana Armada Strenght Gin was born. It is the first gin to be distilled in County Donegal in the An Dúlamán Gin Distillery. An Dulaman Santa Ana Armanda Strength Gin The region is characterized by a wonderful coastline. It is therefore only natural that people here make a living from collecting and selling algae. This tradition can also be found in the name of the brand. Dulaman is the name of an old folk song about a conversation between two old algae collectors. As you can imagine, some of these algae are very popular and you could make a good living from selling them. Of course, this work also had its drawbacks, steep coastlines and a wild Atlantic Ocean, as many collectors fell victim to the wild nature. An Dulaman Gin was created to commemorate these people, who were often found along the coasts. The aforementioned algae, five locally harvested varieties, are also used in An Dulaman Gin and give it its very special umami taste. The Navy Strength is another very special bottling, which was stored in old Roja wine barrels after distillation.
