Product information "Creag Dhu Speyside Single Malt Whisky 0,7L 40,2%"

Creag Dhu Speyside Single Malt Whisky 0.7L 40.2%

The quality of Creag Dhu whisky begins with the selection of the finest barley, followed by the perfected mashing and distillation processes. The key to the exceptional taste profile lies in the specially selected barrels and how they are roasted and charred. Creag Dhu is a very traditional whisky, produced by master distiller Chris Molyneaux, in collaboration with a Speyside distillery. Time-honored Scottish whisky distilling techniques are used that have not changed for centuries. Creag Dhu whisky is stored for at least eight years.

Creag Dhu is an exceptionally smooth, rich, spicy and delicate single malt Scotch whisky with a warm and long finish, with notes of date and walnut cake, spicy caramel and Oloroso sherry.

The Glenrothes 12 Yo Speyside Single Malt Whisky 0,7L 40%
The Glenrothes 12 year old Speyside Single Malt Whisky 0.7L 40% New paths As in many well-known distilleries, one or the other product at The Glenrothes is also replaced by a new design, a different name or a similar product. This 12-year-old Speyside Single Malt and its similar representative, the 10-year-old, are new products that are intended to replace the Reserve and Vintage bottlings we know and belong to the so-called The Soleo Collection. Soleo should not be confused with the Solera process! It simply refers to whiskies stored in sherry casks. In terms of character, connoisseurs in particular appreciate it for its harmonious image, but beginners in the world of whisky are also on the safe side with the 10- or 12-year-old. When storing, it is usual to first complete a longer maturation phase in first fill or ex-bourbon barrels and then finish it in sherry or other types of barrels. With this Soleo Collection, the distillery has turned the tables and first matured in sherry barrels. The 12-year-old Glenrothes owes its golden color with flashing amber tones exclusively to its storage in sherry barrels; no coloring was used here. Its unusual aroma is characterized by fruity notes such as bananas and a hint of vanilla. These can also be recognized on the palate. It is a fruity and rich single malt. You can also recognize a taste of melon, citrus and a spice of cinnamon. The whisky does not hide the fact that it was stored in a sherry barrel, so notes of dried fruit are also added.

Caperdonich Speyside Single Malt Whisky 18 Jahre 0,7L 48%
Caperdonich Speyside Single Malt Whisky 18 years 0.7L 48% Caperdonich Distillery If you have never heard this name before, you may be more familiar with the name 'Glen Grant No. 2', as the distillery was originally built as a kind of clone next to the Glen Grant distillery. That was in 1902, in the middle of the whisky boom, but this phase quickly died down and the distillery found it difficult to sell its whisky. So production was mothballed for the first time and leftover whisky served as a reserve for Glen Grant. In the middle of the twentieth century there was a second wave of the whisky boom, but here too the founders of Glen Grant No. 2 did not really succeed in emerging from the shadow of the large distillery and so it was closed in 2002 and completely demolished just under ten years later. However, some independent bottlers still own one or two of the distillery's barrels and so whisky lovers can still enjoy one of their whiskies today. Caperdonich 18 years Buying whisky from a distillery that has been shut down and demolished for several years is a special feature in itself. But to then receive an original bottling from the distillery surpasses this special feature many times over and makes every collector's heart beat faster. In 2019, the last owner of the Caperdonich distillery, Chivas Brothers, decided to release small batches from the remaining barrels and make them available as special series for the travel retail market. One of these bottlings is the 18 YO Peated Small Batch Releases, which matured in barrels made of fresh oak after distillation. The aroma on the nose is a mix of memories of campfires, peat soil and fresh notes of ginger and orange. Phenolic peat notes are also revealed on the palate, along with fruity apple notes and sweet cane sugar.

Tamnavullin Speyside Single Malt Whisky Double Cask 0,7L 40%
Tamnavullin Speyside Single Malt Whisky Double Cask 0.7L 40% Distillery anniversary It was not clear for a long time that the distillery would even have such a 'big' anniversary. The distillery, which was only built by Invergordon in 1966, had its difficulties right from the start. After it was taken over by Whyte & Mackay in 1994, they closed the distillery a good year later. At the turn of the century, production resumed briefly for a few months, but nothing major. It was only after the distillery was sold again and bought by a subsidiary of the Indian UB Group that whisky production began again in the same year it was bought, 2007. However, they rarely sold under their own name, and liter after liter went into various blends, including Mackinlay's. To mark the company's 50th anniversary, the Tamnavullin distillery from the village of the same name in Scotland has finally brought a new original bottling onto the market. This went through two maturation phases, the first in ex-bourbon barrels and the second in ex-sherry barrels, which gave it a strong amber color. The Double Cask has a lot to offer in terms of taste. Spicy notes such as cinnamon and cardamom, cloves and allspice, as well as notes of dark stone fruit such as plums. Light sweetness from malt and butter caramel. Sweet and spicy notes accompany the finish.
