The Buchanan whisky brand is one of the oldest in the country and was first sold in London in 1884 by the successful whisky dealer James Buchanan. Although it was Buchanan's first blend, it quickly became very popular and the distinctive bottle sold like hot cakes.
Buchanan whiskies have always been awarded important prizes at international trade fairs, for example Buchanan De Luxe won 3 gold and 2 double gold medals at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition. This blended Scotch contains almost 50% malt whisky, with spirits from the Dalwhinnie distillery playing a major role, giving it a wonderfully complex taste at a fair price.
