After 8 years of maturation in American bourbon barrels in Barbados, the Plantation Barbados 2013 One Time Rum is shipped to France. There it undergoes a final 1-year finish in 400-liter Ferrand barrels. With an alcohol content of 50.2%, it reveals a fruity, sweet and spicy aroma of orange blossom, peach, bananas, coconut, roasted almonds and pepper on the nose. On the palate it is extremely rich, with additional notes of honey, hazelnut, pastry and a hint of ginger and tobacco. The finish is long and fruity.

It is first aged for four years in ex-bourbon barrels before being shipped to France. There it spends another four months in port wine barrels to refine its unique character. This copper-colored Plantation Barbados 6YO Port Cask Finish Rum offers fine sweet and spicy notes of nutmeg, cinnamon, raisins, plums, vanilla and dried fruits on the nose. On the palate it is complex and full-bodied, with additional flavors of peanut, bergamot, raspberry and peach. Its finish is long-lasting and delights the palate long after the last sip.

Aromas of grapefruit, cocoa, caramel, clove, allspice, sandalwood and a salty breeze unfold on the nose. On the palate it is powerful yet smooth, with nuances of black tea, lemon peel, molasses, spices and exotic fruits. The finish is long, dry and with subtle tannins.
