The name "Wee Beastie" refers to a small, stubborn creature that calls the peaty heart of Islay its home. This whisky reflects the wild and spirited nature of the source of inspiration. An intense pleasure for lovers of strong aromas, matured for 5 years in bourbon and oloroso sherry casks. Not chill-filtered.

The aroma of this Ardbeg 5 Years "Wee Beastie" Single Malt Whiksy is bright, fresh and herbal, accompanied by subtle notes of vanilla, pear, black pepper and glazed ham. A strong hint of Turkish coffee and juicy pine resin complete the bouquet. With the addition of water, additional herbal notes such as grass, fennel and aniseed unfold, accompanied by green apple and a hint of leather. The taste is powerful and explosive, dominated by chocolate and smoked bacon. A veritable explosion of eucalyptus and other aniseed notes. The long finish is salty and coats the palate, accompanied by nuances of cocoa, fudge butter caramel and hearty meat.
