What place in the world could be more suitable for rum production than the Caribbean? It has always been a tradition to make the finest, high-quality rum from sugar cane. This tradition is also maintained in the Roseau Valley on the Caribbean island of St. Lucia. This is home to the St. Lucia Distillers Group, which is world-famous for the rum brand 'Admiral Rodney'. It is a merger of two family distilleries, those of the Bernard family and the Geest family. Together they wanted to set themselves apart from the mass production of rum and were able to specialise in the production of the finest, high-quality rum through modernisation and expansion, and with great success. In recent years, the rum distillery has won several international competitions and also impresses with its sustainability and environmental protection.

The Admiral Rodney HMS Royal Oak is in the middle between the Princessa and the Formidable. The blends used for the Royal Oak matured in old US bourbon barrels for between 7 and 12 years.
If you taste this high-quality rum, it immediately leaves a lasting impression. It is characteristic, but still harmonious at the same time. As with the other two products in the series, a pleasant sweetness in combination with fruity notes plays a role at the beginning. As a little time passes, the spicy notes of the oak barrels appear. These have a spicy to peppery effect, but then give way to finer notes such as caramel and vanilla in the finish.
