The history of the Zuidam distillery
After Fred van Zuidam had already worked for several years as a master distiller for other distilleries, such as the well-known De Kuyper distillery, he now had the best conditions for self-employment. So he founded the distillery 'Baarle International' in the mid-1970s, named after the location of the distillery, Baarle-Nassau.
In order to have a firm foothold in the large spirits market, the company now has a broader portfolio and has not only concentrated on the traditional spirit Geneva, but also has liqueurs in its range, including Millstone whisky.
