Zaya Gran Reserva 0.7L 40% Zaya – Guatemala Originally, products of the rum brand were both produced and matured in Zaya, Guatemala. In 2008, however, production was moved to Trinidad and Tobago and is now distributed locally by Trinidad Disitllers Ltd. The Zaya Gran Reserva is produced there according to an old secret recipe and is a blend of different rums to come close to the original taste of Guatemalan rum. The blend consists of up to five different distillates, which all go through the distillation process separately before being married together. Finally, the rum is stored in French oak barriques.
