Velho Barreiro Cachaca Silver 0.7L 39% The history of Velho Barreiro Cachaca Velho Barreiro Cachaca Silver - This is cachaca with a long tradition! The history of Velho Barreiro Cachaca can be traced back to 1909. At that time, the Tauzinho sugar cane liquor factory was founded in a suburb of Sao Paulo. There, cachaca was still traditionally made by hand and within a few decades the brand became one of the most consumed and best known cachaca brands in all of Brazil. In 1970, the company wanted to expand further in the market and a merger with the 3 Fazendas brand took place. This was followed by the founding of the new brand IRB - Industria Reunidas de Bebidas Tatuzinho 3 Fazendas Ltda, whose headquarters were in the city of Rio Claro, around 165 km from Sao Paulo. In 1975 the Velho Barreiro brand was finally bought up and the three brands Tatuzinho, 3 Fazendas and Velho Barreiro operated from then on as one company. Velho Barreiro was enormously successful and the brand had already penetrated most regions of Brazil by the 1980s. The production of Velho Barreiro Cachaca Silver It is not for nothing that Velho Barreiro Cachaca Silver is one of the best-selling cachacas in Brazil. One reason for this is certainly its special production process. The raw material for Velho Barreiro Cachaca Silver is freshly harvested sugar cane, which is pressed as quickly as possible after the harvest. The sugar cane juice obtained is diluted with water and alcoholic fermentation then takes place in stainless steel containers with the addition of yeast. After fermentation is complete, the Velho Barreiro Cachaca Silver is distilled twice and then stored in large barrels for around 10 months. Unlike what you might be used to from whisky or cognac production, these barrels are huge and have a capacity of up to a million(!) liters. After the maturation period, the Velho Barreiro Cachaca Silver is a cachaca of the highest quality, which is bottled at 39% vol. The taste of the Velho Barreiro Cachaca Silver Velho Barreiro Cachaca Silver is a cachaca with a light, pure appearance. On the palate, Velho Barreiro Cachaca is fresh, with distinctive sweetness, sugar cane aromas and a little vanilla. The aftertaste of the Velho Barreiro Cachaca Silver is full-bodied and soft. This makes the Velho Barreiro Cachaca Silver ideal for a perfect Caipirinha or Batida.
