Rum Artesanal (RA)
The RA Guyana Rum 'Uitvlugt' Single Cask is distilled in the Uitvlugt distillery of the same name. It was distilled from fine sugar cane molasses in 1993 and then matured. Only 324 bottles of this fine distillate have been bottled. This makes the rum an absolute rarity and extremely sought after, especially among collectors, because not only is it a limited edition and single cask bottling, the rum comes from a distillery that has long since closed, the Uitvlugt distillery. Due to consolidation processes, the distillery had to be closed at the turn of the millennium in 2000.
The distillery was one of the most prosperous distilleries in Guyana in the 18th century and is named after the Dutchman Ignatius Charles Bourda Uitvlugt. Behind the brand name 'Rum Artesanal' is the spirits factory 'Heinz Eggert' from Bad Bevensen. The best rum varieties from Jamaica, Cuba, the Dominican Republic, Central America and the French Antilles are imported here. In addition to standard bottlings from the distilleries, the spirits factory also has its sights set on particularly rare single cask and limited editions and offers these in its range.

With Rum Artesanal they present an exclusive line of exotic rums. These come from traditional countries such as Jamaica, the Dominican Republic or Cuba. For a special addition to the range, this time they used a single cask version of the well-known Diamond Distillery from Guyana. The aromas speak for the distillery and offer the well-known aromas, but at the same time it offers one or two surprises in terms of taste. On the nose there are vanilla and notes of mint chocolate, along with herbs such as anise. On the palate it is full-bodied and soft, with vanilla and herbal notes recognizable.
