At that time, the series comprised six single malts from six distilleries. The series contains eight whiskies from seven distilleries, each from four different whisky regions in Scotland. The distilleries' stocks were searched through and a mixture of 8- to 26-year-old whiskies was chosen to present to the customer. Each whisky has undergone a unique maturation process and is inspired by the respective mythical creatures that, according to legend, can be found in the respective whisky regions and around the distilleries themselves. Special Release Cardhu The bottling of the Cardhu distillery represents the mystical world of Scottish legends and myths that exist around the distillery. The label of the Cardhu bottling already gives a small insight into this world with its distinctive, colorful and mystical nature. The bright red tree shown is reminiscent of Scarlet Blooms Of Black Rock: a mysterious, bright red tree grew out of a hill of black rock.
