The well-known, artisanal whisky distillery was founded in 1843 by the married couple Anne and William Matheson. With the distillery, the couple fulfilled a long-held dream that is still honored today.

The new X Single Malt Whisky was created in collaboration with top bartenders. In terms of taste, it is a sweet and rich whisky that, thanks to its versatility, goes well with all kinds of cocktails and long drinks. The aim is to encourage whisky lovers to try new things and combine whisky in different ways. The distillery also provides some cocktail recipes on its website.
The aromas are sweet and fruity with notes of pear, vanilla, caramel and orange peel. The selection of different barrels also brings out a certain spiciness and subtle aroma of oak.
