Glenfiddich Project XX Experimental Series No. 2  0.7L 47% Innovation The Scottish whisky distillery has repeatedly demonstrated in recent years how keen to experiment its master distillers are. In 2016, the Experimental Series was released, which combines very special whiskies. The first in this series was the Glenfiddich IPA Experiment, which was finished for three months in barrels from the Speyside Craft Brewery in Forres and which were used to brew an IPA, or Indian Pale Ale. This beer is brewed by the brewery from a very special hop, the British Challenger hop, which has a fruity character. The second thing the distillery is presenting is Project XX #2. 20 whisky experts from all over the world were invited to create an extraordinary blend with them. Each of the invitees was allowed to choose their favourite from the entire famous 'Conval' Glenfiddich warehouse. However, the distillates were not mixed together randomly, but the proportions of the individual barrels were carefully selected. Whisky from bourbon barrels, sherry hogsheads and port pipes were married. Aromatic structure You might now be wondering how there can ultimately be a structure with so many different whiskies. However, let us tell you that despite these many influences, all of the aromatic characteristics of the individual whiskies are brought to the fore at some point during the tasting. The first thing you notice on the nose are clear fruit aromas, with apple and pear clearly recognizable. Alongside fruit notes, there are also spices such as vanilla, caramel, oak wood and light liquorice notes. If you let the whisky 'melt on your tongue', it continues to show its gentle side. Sweet notes develop that are reminiscent of roasted almonds with cinnamon and create a pleasant warmth. In its long-lasting finish, the Glenfiddich Project XX #2 can finally impress with pleasant oak notes.

Glenfiddich Single Malt Whisky 12 Years Triple Oak 0.7L 40% Triple Oak Once again, the Scottish Glenfiddich distillery has opted for a special bottling. Three different types of barrels were used for this 12-year-old malt whisky: Bourbon, sherry and freshly charred French oak barrels. All three contribute with their special properties to a harmonious taste experience - and that for a whisky that has been matured for such a short time. Tasting The first impression when opening the bottle speaks clearly for the typical Glenfiddich character. Soft aromas, a little fruitiness and light wood notes are in the foreground. As expected, it is also super pleasant and soft. After a few seconds in the mouth, the individual aromas emerge: sweet caramel, fruity notes and also a hint of oak and smoke are recognizable.

With its unmistakable harmonious taste, it is the global classic among single malt whiskies.This fresh 12-year-old malt is not only able to inspire with its pale gold tone and the sweet and appetizing scent of fruity pears and a subtle oak note. The light body with its fairly dry note is followed by a balanced aftertaste with a slightly restrained note of peat and pine.With this fragrant bouquet, the Glenfiddich Single Malt Whisky 12 years goes perfectly with Serrano ham carpaccio with rocket and shaved Parmesan.
