Green apples exude a certain freshness, along with roasted almonds, a hint of vanilla and some milk chocolate. Torabhaig The Legacy Allt Gleann Single Malt Whisky 0.7L 46% Torabhaig Distillery The Scottish whisky distillery on the Isle of Skye is still a relatively young distillery, having only started operations in 2017. Aromas At first, the 22-year-old whisky impresses with the aroma of dried fruit, sweet and sour green apple and notes of freshly baked cake. This first impression is accompanied in the background by cedar wood and hay. A more distinct spice aroma develops on the palate, reminiscent of gingerbread and Christmas in general. Fruity notes of banana, orange, mango and pineapple quickly lighten up these rather heavy spice notes and give it a certain freshness.

Fettercairn 28 Year Old Single Malt Whisky 0.7L 42% Fettercairn Based in the eastern Highlands of Scotland, whisky has been produced under an official license at the eponymous location since 1824. Like most distilleries that have existed for such a long time, Fettercairn has a very turbulent history, in which the distillery had to be rebuilt after a fire, had to be temporarily closed after a low point in 1926 and a new high in the mid-1960s, as well as perseverance during a new economic crisis in the 1980s. On the palate, a full, very well-balanced whisky develops, the aroma of which is now characterized by citrus notes and a hint of spicy black pepper. Aromas of roasted nuts, apricots and a hint of vanilla linger in the background. The finish is rather medium-long and is reminiscent of notes of coffee and sweet balsamic vinegar.
