Coruba Rum 18 years is an elegant, complex rum with subtle tones of vanilla, tropical woods and toffee.

When he came to Jamaica, he discovered the country's typical spirit, rum. He was so enthusiastic that he wanted to introduce it to the whole world, but especially to his fellow countrymen, and so in 1889 he founded the 'Compagnie Rhumière De Bâle' in Switzerland. From this very long and difficult to remember name was derived the abbreviation CORUBA, by which the rum is known today. Since 1962, Wray & Nephews distillery in Jamaica is responsible for Coruba Rum, but the actual blending has always taken place in Basel, Switzerland, even today. Vintage 2000 Millenium Edition Matusalem Oloroso Rum After an initial maturation in oak barrels on the island of Jamaica, the Edition Matusalem from the Millennium Edition is additionally stored in Oloroso sherry barrels from Gonzalez Byass under European climatic conditions in Switzerland. The aroma can be described as classic with notes of vanilla, warming spices and dried fruits.

Coruba Vintage 2000 Pedro Ximenez Millennium Edition Rum 0.7L 50.6% Coruba products Driven by the idea of making quality products from around the world accessible to everyone, one day a merchant from Switzerland traveled to Jamaica. Once there, he was able to enjoy the alcohol produced from sugar cane, which enchanted him straight away. Driven by the desire to bring this product to Europe and sell it there, he founded the company 'Compagnie Rhumière de Bâle' - CORUBA for short - in 1889. Since then, the Jamaican distillery Wray & Nephews produces the rum on the island before it is transported to Switzerland and blended. The second bottling from the Millenium Edition is also initially stored for 18 years in oak barrels in Jamaica, and the Vintage 2000 Pedro Ximenez Millenium Edition is then stored in selected Pedro Ximenez barrels from Gonzalez Byass after being transported to Switzerland. This creates a complex aroma, with sweet and fruity notes on both the nose and the palate. Vanilla, dates and other dried fruits are just some of the clearly recognizable aromas. In the finish, these are accompanied by warming spicy notes as well as wood and leather notes.
