Bristol Rum Enmore Guyana 30 years 1988/2018 Sherry Cask finish 0.7L 46.5%

Product information Bristol Enmore Guyana

The independent bottler Bristol from the United Kingdom has once again done a great job and made a wonderful rum available. This is an Enmore product that was first finished in re-filled bourbon barrels and then in sherry barrels. This rum was distilled in 1988 and then matured for twenty years in used bourbon barrels. This is how a true premium product was created. In aroma, it offers a beguiling scent of vanilla and smoke, in taste a pleasant sweetness and the fruitiness of exotic fruit. You can also sense spicy notes and subtle notes of wild herbs. And the sherry cask finish leaves nothing to be desired for rum connoisseurs.

El Dorado Rum Enmore Sauternes Special Cask Finish 2003 Limited Edition 2018 0.7L 62.3% Demerara Rum If you read up on the subject of rum, sooner or later you will come across the term 'Demerara Rum'. We would now like to explain in more detail what that is exactly: The name Demerara Rum is a protected designation of origin. This means that rum with this addition always comes from the Demerara region of Guyana, around the banks of the Demerara River. The region was once booming with rum producers; there were up to 300 companies that were involved in rum production in various ways in the 17th century. Over the centuries there were fewer and fewer of them and today only the Demerara distillery remains. However, they have made it a matter close to their hearts to keep the typical Demerara character alive, which refers both to the typical taste, which is strongly reminiscent of processed sugar cane, and to old traditional production methods. The distillery still has old distillation facilities, one of the oldest is a wooden still dating back to 1732, of which the operators are particularly proud. Enmore Sauternes Cask Finish 2003/2018 Another representative of the Special Cask series is the Enmore Sauternes Cask Finish 2003/2018. The 'Enmore' still, which dates back to 1880 and is made of tropical hardwood, was again used for distillation. To develop the flavor, this edition was initially aged for 10 years in ex-bourbon barrels. Finally, the wine was finished in French oak port wine barrels, which had previously been used to store Sweet White Sauternes wine from Bourdeaux.

Rosebank Single Malt Whisky 30 Years 1990/2020 Release 1 0.7L 48.6% 'King of the Lowlands' This is the name by which the whisky from the Rosebank Distillery was once known in its heyday. The distillery, which has been closed since 1993, was officially founded in 1840 by James Rankine. Unofficially, the Stark brothers had been distilling there since the end of the 18th century. Rosebank Distillery is also one of the five founding distilleries of the Scottish Malt Distillers and, as already mentioned, was completely closed in 1993. At the beginning of the 21st century, the remaining buildings were sold to 'British Waterways', and five years later the distillation equipment was stolen from there during British holidays. Finally, the entire property, the last stocks including the trademark rights from the previous owner Diageo, were bought by Ian Macleod Distillers. With Release 1, the Rosebank Distillery wants to start a 'new chapter'. Before the distillery was closed in 1993, however, a whisky was distilled three years earlier, which has been stored in peace ever since. The new 30 Year Old is now being released in a limited edition of around 4350 bottles worldwide.
