The myth lives on Like many whiskeys, rums, gins, etc., there is often something profound behind the name of the product. Be it a story about old sailors, tales from war or mythology. The Silkie blended Irish Whisky also uses one of these exciting creatures from old Irish or Scottish folklore.

This great blended Irish whiskey is supposed to remind you of a mythological creature with its name and its 'irresistible' taste. According to stories, it lives in the water and resembles a seal there, but on land it transforms into 'irresistible' human-like creatures.

'Irresistible' is also the taste of this blended Irish whiskey, which was distilled and bottled for the Sliabh Liag Distillery - Donegal - Ireland.
This is how a whiskey was designed that presents notes of fresh fruit on the nose. These include apricot and white grapes. Malt and honey as well as a floral note ensure a fresh whiskey.
On the palate, this fruity part is accompanied by honey or syrup wafers, a little violet and a note reminiscent of perfume. The finish is rather short, a slightly bitter note with oak aroma comes through.

Clan MacGregor Blended Scotch Whisky, 1 L, 40%
Clan MacGregor Blended Scotch Whisky 1.0L 40% The history of Clan MacGregor Blended Scotch Whisky Clan MacGregor is a Scottish blended whisky produced by William Grant & Sons, the owner of the Glenfiddich distillery. While Glenfiddich whisky is a household name for every fan of malt whisky, William Grant & Sons is also trying to establish itself successfully in the highly competitive blended whisky market with Clan MacGregor. This has so far been very successful with Clan MacGregor Blended Scotch Whisky, which was one of the most successful new launches in recent years. The name of this blended whisky goes back to the infamous MacGregor Clan. This clan is said to be directly descended from Kenneth MacAlpin, the first King of the Scots, and is considered one of the bravest clans in Scottish history. The MacGregors became famous in 1603, when a cattle raid led to a battle with the rival Colquhoun clan. According to tradition, 200 Colquhouns and only two MacGregors were killed. As a result, the MacGregors were declared outlaws by King James VI and a reward was offered for every dead MacGregor. This law was not repealed by Parliament until 1774. The production of Clan MacGregor Blended Scotch Whisky Clan MacGregor Scotch Whisky is a fine Scottish blended Scotch whisky made from a total of 15 different whiskies matured in oak barrels. As is usual with blended whisky, both malt whiskies and grain whiskies were used for this bottling. The grain whiskies give the Clan MacGregor Blended Scotch Whisky a certain lightness and a pleasant spiciness, while the proportion of malt whisky ensures a pleasant sweetness and full-bodiedness. The taste of the Clan MacGregor Blended Scotch Whisky Straw-gold in color, the Clan McGregor Blended Scotch Whisky shows a characteristic sweetness, vanilla, malt and a hint of smoke on the nose. Then on the palate a subtle fruitiness, malt and oak notes. Overall very soft and velvety and with a long and clear aftertaste. A high-quality and affordable blended whisky!

MacNaMara Blended Whisky, 0,7 L, 40%
MacNaMara Blended Whisky 0.7L 40% The history of MacNaMara Blended Whisky MacNaMara Blended Whisky is produced by the company "The Gaelic Whiskies" on the Isle of Skye off the west coast of the Scottish mainland. The whisky company The Gaelic Whiskies was founded in 1976 by Sir Ian Noble to provide work on the island and at the same time produce an authentic whisky for the Gaelic-speaking population of Scotland. From the very beginning, The Gaelic Whiskies relied on traditional production methods. For example, the whiskies from The Gaelic Whiskies are largely not chill-filtered in order to preserve the authentic character of original Gaelic whiskies. The Gaelic Whiskies is one of the few remaining family-run Scottish whisky companies and the only whisky company based in the Inner Hebrides. The production of MacNaMara Blended Whisky The MacNaMara Blended Whisky is the main product of The Gaelic Whiskies. The MacNaMara Blended Whisky is a relatively light blended Scotch whisky with a high proportion of spicy grain whiskies. Like other Scottish blended whiskies, the MacNaMara Blended Whisky is a traditional blend of grain and malt whiskies. However, the whisky makers of the MacNaMara Blended Whisky do not like to reveal their cards, which is why the exact blend of the individual malt and grain whiskies is a secret. What is clear, however, is that the individual whiskies are distilled in both column stills and pot stills. The art of the house's master blenders then lies in producing a whisky that always tastes the same. The makers of MacNaMara Blended Whisky are without question masters of their craft and manage to give MacNaMara Blended Whisky its unmistakable taste every year. The taste of MacNaMara Blended Whisky The dark golden MacNaMara Blended Whisky is relatively light on the nose, but shows fine floral and spicy aromas. On the palate, MacNaMara Blended Whisky is light-hearted and surprises with clearly defined aromas of biscuit and citrus fruits. The medium-long aftertaste of MacNaMara Blended Whisky is stronger than the impression on the nose and palate. Overall, a beautiful blended whisky that shows that good Scotch is not only produced on the Scottish mainland.

Cameron Brig Single Grain Scotch Whisky, 0,7 L, 40%
Cameron Brig Single Grain Scotch Whisky 0.7L 40% The former owner of the Cameronbridge distillery in the Lowlands was a cousin of Robert Stein, the inventor of the continuous distillation process. It is therefore not surprising that the Cameronbridge distillery quickly switched to this process and thus produced high-quality grain whisky. After producing both malt and grain whisky for several years, the distillery decided to concentrate its whisky production on grain whisky. This whisky is one of the few available of the rare single grain whiskies. It runs amber-gold into the glass and is reminiscent of freshly cut hay and caramel on the nose. On the palate there are clear notes of fruit, toffee and pepper. The aftertaste is relatively short, but makes you want the next sip!

The Legendary Silkie Red Blended Irish Whiskey 0,7L 46%
The Legendary Silkie Red Blended Irish Whiskey 0.7L 46% The Legendary Red Silkie Irish Whiskey draws inspiration not only from Donegal's folklore, but also from the county's rich history and heritage. The Legendary Red Silkie was finished in red wine casks in Rioja and Ribera. The Ribera del Duero wine region lies east of Red Hugh O'Donnell's final resting place at Simancas Castle in Spain. Wines from the Ribera region tend to be full-bodied with firm tannins, while Rioja wines lead with big fruit flavours. This combination of wine cask finishes gives the whisky an exceptional depth of character, coupled with the signature smoothness of the award-winning Silkie blend. This special bottling is available as a limited edition of 1100 bottles. Taste: Aromatic and sweet, strawberry coulis, jam. Dried fruits steeped in Earl Grey tea open up to dry wine notes and oak tannins, while retaining a crisp freshness.

The Midnight Silkie Blended Irish Whiskey Non Chill Filtered 0,7L 46%
The Midnight Silkie Blended Irish Whiskey Non Chill Filtered 0.7L 46% Sliabh Liag Distillery The well-known Sliabh Liag distillery is behind the Silkie whiskey brand. This is the first whiskey distillery in Donegal in over 175 years. The aim of the distillery is to bring the authenticity of the landscape and the taste of whiskey from before the industrial revolution back to life. Harmonious blend It is often said that less is more. However, this is absolutely not the case with The Midnight Blend from Silkie. Despite the blending of 35%, drippy, triple distilled single malt and four different triple distilled single malts that were also stored in different barrels such as Sherry Cask, Oloroso Cask or Virgin Oak barrels, they managed to create a very rich but nevertheless harmonious whisky. Despite the smoky character, the focus in terms of taste is clearly on the fruity components. When tasting, you can clearly detect notes of juicy pear, which are subtly accompanied by sandalwood and oak and a hint of chocolate.

The Legendary Silkie Red Blended Irish Whiskey Pomerol Finish 0,7L 46%
The Legendary Silkie Red Blended Irish Whiskey Pomerol Finish 0.7L 46% The Red Silkie Pomerol Finish takes the Silkie Irish Whiskey range in a new direction. Rather than focusing on legendary Donegal, this release aims to enhance the Silkie flavour profile by using casks used in the masterful production of Bordeaux's legendary Pomerol wines. The Red Silkie Pomerol is the first expression of an investigation into how flavour and character develop when Silkie comes together with other great drinks categories and the sum is greater than its parts. Rose gold to amber with a hint of glitter, this fine tipple presents itself. The nose is intense and complex, with notes of tarte tatin, candied fruit, a hint of liquorice and a floral violet note. The Legendary Silkie Red Irish Whiskey Pomerol Finish 0.7L 46% pampers the palate with smooth, rich aromas of raspberry coulis, dried oranges, baked apples, pipe tobacco, raisins in butter and muscovado, rounded off by a light saltiness, tannin, angelica and woody spices. The finish is richly sweet and salty. This delight is best enjoyed neat or slightly chilled with an ice cube. The full flavor profile only unfolds with the addition of a tiny drop of water.
