The Sliabh Liag Peninsula

The Sliabh Liag distillery of the same name is based in the tranquil town of Donegal on the peninsula of Ireland's west coast. The distillery is the first distillery in County Donegal in over 175 years, which was once a major distillery. The new establishment aims to bring this heritage back to life and create something that the entire community can be proud of. They named their whisky after the Irish seal mythical creatures, which, according to legend, are said to transform into irresistibly beautiful women on land.

The Legendary Silkie Irish Whiskey 0.7L 46% The myth lives on Like many whiskeys, rums, gins, etc., there is often something profound behind the name of the product. Be it a story about old sailors, tales from war or mythology. The Silkie blended Irish Whisky also uses one of these exciting creatures from old Irish or Scottish folklore. This great blended Irish whiskey is supposed to remind you of a mythological creature with its name and its 'irresistible' taste. According to stories, it lives in the water and resembles a seal there, but on land it transforms into 'irresistible' human-like creatures. 'Irresistible' is also the taste of this blended Irish whiskey, which was distilled and bottled for the Sliabh Liag Distillery - Donegal - Ireland. This is how a whiskey was designed that presents notes of fresh fruit on the nose. These include apricot and white grapes. Malt and honey as well as a floral note ensure a fresh whiskey. On the palate, this fruity part is accompanied by honey or syrup wafers, a little violet and a note reminiscent of perfume. The finish is rather short, a slightly bitter note with oak aroma comes through.

The Legendary Silkie Red Blended Irish Whiskey 0,7L 46%
The Legendary Silkie Red Blended Irish Whiskey 0.7L 46% The Legendary Red Silkie Irish Whiskey draws inspiration not only from Donegal's folklore, but also from the county's rich history and heritage. The Legendary Red Silkie was finished in red wine casks in Rioja and Ribera. The Ribera del Duero wine region lies east of Red Hugh O'Donnell's final resting place at Simancas Castle in Spain. Wines from the Ribera region tend to be full-bodied with firm tannins, while Rioja wines lead with big fruit flavours. This combination of wine cask finishes gives the whisky an exceptional depth of character, coupled with the signature smoothness of the award-winning Silkie blend. This special bottling is available as a limited edition of 1100 bottles. Taste: Aromatic and sweet, strawberry coulis, jam. Dried fruits steeped in Earl Grey tea open up to dry wine notes and oak tannins, while retaining a crisp freshness.

The Midnight Silkie Blended Irish Whiskey Non Chill Filtered 0,7L 46%
The Midnight Silkie Blended Irish Whiskey Non Chill Filtered 0.7L 46% Sliabh Liag Distillery The well-known Sliabh Liag distillery is behind the Silkie whiskey brand. This is the first whiskey distillery in Donegal in over 175 years. The aim of the distillery is to bring the authenticity of the landscape and the taste of whiskey from before the industrial revolution back to life. Harmonious blend It is often said that less is more. However, this is absolutely not the case with The Midnight Blend from Silkie. Despite the blending of 35%, drippy, triple distilled single malt and four different triple distilled single malts that were also stored in different barrels such as Sherry Cask, Oloroso Cask or Virgin Oak barrels, they managed to create a very rich but nevertheless harmonious whisky. Despite the smoky character, the focus in terms of taste is clearly on the fruity components. When tasting, you can clearly detect notes of juicy pear, which are subtly accompanied by sandalwood and oak and a hint of chocolate.

The Legendary Silkie Red Blended Irish Whiskey Pomerol Finish 0,7L 46%
The Legendary Silkie Red Blended Irish Whiskey Pomerol Finish 0.7L 46% The Red Silkie Pomerol Finish takes the Silkie Irish Whiskey range in a new direction. Rather than focusing on legendary Donegal, this release aims to enhance the Silkie flavour profile by using casks used in the masterful production of Bordeaux's legendary Pomerol wines. The Red Silkie Pomerol is the first expression of an investigation into how flavour and character develop when Silkie comes together with other great drinks categories and the sum is greater than its parts. Rose gold to amber with a hint of glitter, this fine tipple presents itself. The nose is intense and complex, with notes of tarte tatin, candied fruit, a hint of liquorice and a floral violet note. The Legendary Silkie Red Irish Whiskey Pomerol Finish 0.7L 46% pampers the palate with smooth, rich aromas of raspberry coulis, dried oranges, baked apples, pipe tobacco, raisins in butter and muscovado, rounded off by a light saltiness, tannin, angelica and woody spices. The finish is richly sweet and salty. This delight is best enjoyed neat or slightly chilled with an ice cube. The full flavor profile only unfolds with the addition of a tiny drop of water.

Jameson Irish Whiskey, 1 L, 40%
Jameson Irish Whiskey 1.0L 40% The history of Jameson Whiskey Jameson Irish Whiskey is the world's best-selling Irish whiskey and is produced by the Jameson Distillery in Midleton. Even though Jameson Irish Whiskey in its current form has surprisingly only been around since 1968, the origins of the Jameson distillery go back to 1780. The Jameson distillery was founded by the immigrant Scotsman John Jameson. His son of the same name took over the distillery and managed to sell an enormous output for the time and finally founded a joint stock company in 1902. Jameson had to go through many crises over the course of the last century and sales dwindled massively due to American Prohibition and the increased import duties in the UK due to Irish independence. The other producers in the Republic of Ireland were no better off and so in 1966 a decision was made to cooperate. Jameson, Power and the Cork Distilleries then operated under the name Irish Distillers Group (IDG). Jameson Irish Whiskey has been produced by IDG in Midleton since 1968. The production of Jameson Irish Whiskey The mash for Jameson Irish Whiskey is made from both malted and unmalted barley. The malted barley is dried in closed kilns so that no smoke gets to the malt. As is usual for Irish whiskey, Jameson Irish Whiskey is triple distilled to guarantee a special purity. The subsequent storage takes place in former sherry, port wine and bourbon oak barrels. The house's master blenders then mix the individual barrels to create the typical taste of Jameson Irish Whiskey. The taste of Jameson Irish Whiskey Jameson Irish Whiskey is, as is typical for an Irish whiskey, relatively light on the nose and palate. Jameson Irish Whiskey is soft on the palate, with sweet sherry notes, delicate spice aromas, notes of citrus fruits and a hint of vanilla. The aftertaste of Jameson Irish Whiskey is dry and has a light fruity note.
