Remy Martin Cognac VSOP, 1 L, 40%
Remy Martin Cognac VSOP 1.0L 40%
Rémy Martin is the most famous cognac house in the world. It was founded in 1724 by the young winemaker Rémy Martin in the Cognac region. Due to the unusually high quality of the cognac, Louis XV granted him permission to plant new vines in 1831, although this was forbidden at the time.
In 1870, the famous centaur was added to the coat of arms, symbolizing the symbiosis of man and nature. However, it would take until 1927 for the Rémy Martin VSOP to be introduced.
The cognac was very different in quality from the other brands at the time and quickly became a global success. Over the years, the quality has been constantly improved, partly because in 1948 it was decided to only use grapes from the Petite and Grande Champagne. In 1972, the famous frosted glass bottle was finally introduced, making Rémy Martin VSOP the best-selling cognac in the world.
On the palate, this cognac is very soft. The nose reveals numerous floral aromas surrounded by apricot, hazelnut and light oak notes. A beautiful, soft cognac with a very intense aftertaste.
