Prussian spirits factory

The PSM is now both a museum and a factory. Founded by Kaiser Wilhelm I, the factory, which was then a teaching and research institute, was intended to get the Prussian spirits culture rolling. Unlike in Scotland, France or Russia, people in this country had not yet been able to identify with a particular spirit.
Today, there is no specific product that the PSM stands for, but the company has built up a good reputation with its promise of high quality. In addition to vodka and gin, there are also herbs & bitters, grain spirits and liqueurs. The range now includes around 60 different spirits, all of premium quality.

Coffee liqueur made from highland coffee

The coffee liqueur is made with an extract from high-quality mountain coffee. These beans, also known as Araica, are of higher quality than Robusta beans and also have a finer flavor profile. Arabica beans are generally slightly sweet, have aromas of chocolate and some fruity aspects. The acid profile is also significantly lower, as is the caffeine content. Of course, the aromas vary from growing region to growing region, but the use of this better quality once again shows the premium quality of PSM spirits.
The coffee liqueur has a strong coffee flavor. On the palate, notes of fresh vanilla and tonka bean round off the aroma. In the aftertaste, however, these then give way again to the great coffee aroma, which now prevails over the long term.
Here, too, we have the miniature version for those interested.

PSM Anise liqueur 0,04L 31%
PSM Anise Liqueur 0.04L 31% PSM Berlin PSM stands for Prussian Spirits Manufactory with headquarters in Berlin. Founded in 1974 as a research and teaching institute in Berlin Wedding, the aim here was to create a milestone for alcoholic beverages, as was already known from other countries such as Scotland with whisky or France with liqueur. The German Emperor Wilhelm I was a frequent visitor and co-founder of the institute. The factory can still be found at the same location today. Around 300 scientists are constantly researching beverage development here. PSM is part of this institute and still produces Prussian spirits today. The range is large, and includes a wide variety of spirits, including vodka and gin as well as various liqueurs. The focus is always on the very special taste. Anise liqueur The fine anise liqueur is one in this liqueur series. If you like ouzo or sambucca, you will especially love this fine liqueur. The liqueur has a very fresh anise aroma and a wonderfully balanced sweetness. This is the decisive point in which the PSM liqueur differs from other anise brandies. If you want to try the taste of the anise liqueur, the miniature version here is a great opportunity to convince yourself of the great spirit.

PSM Plum liqueur 0,04L 30%
PSM plum liqueur 0.04L 30% History The history of PSM goes back a long way, to 1874 when liqueur production was in full bloom in Berlin. Emperor Wilhelm I had the experimental and teaching institute known at the time as "Adler Spirituosen" built to popularize spirits in Prussia. At the turn of the century, the production of liqueurs and drinking spirits reached its peak. However, due to the two world wars and the resulting economic downturn, this success came to an abrupt end for the first time. It was not until the 1950s that operations could be resumed. However, the company was unable to repeat its success so quickly. The factory was relaunched in 2005. The microbiologist Ulf Stahl and a qualified hotelier from the Black Forest breathed new life into Adler Spirituosen. At first, the passion for gin was the focus, but today PSM has up to 60 different spirits, including vodka, herbs, grains and liqueurs. Plum Liqueur As with all PSM fruit liqueurs, only hand-picked fruits are used, which once again indicates the premium quality of the company. With a subtle sweetness, the plums are given a little help to develop their great aroma even more. A really fruity liqueur that, despite the added sweetness, is not immediately cloyingly sweet. If you want to convince yourself, you can do so wonderfully with the miniature version of the plum liqueur.

PSM Elderflowerliqueur 0,04L 21%
PSM elderflower liqueur 0.04L 21% Prussian Spirits Manufactory Schroff & Stahl GbR (PSM) PSM is a manufacturer of spirits and liqueurs in Berlin-Wedding. Today it is also an active museum of the Experimental & Training Institute for Spirits. PSM is not just a manufacturer of spirits, it is a manufacturer that has been involved in the production and development of spirits for decades. Since 1847, under the care of scientists and master distillers, distillers and distillers have been trained here, test series documented, recipes and production processes continuously developed. Today, special premium spirits are produced here under the management of microbiologist Ulf Stahl and a qualified hotelier. Elderberry liqueur miniature Black elderberry is widespread in our latitudes. You can use flowers and berries. The flowers were used to flavor this liqueur. Since these can only be harvested for a very short period of time in early summer, this makes this liqueur from PSM even more high-quality. Elderberry has its own sweet, intense taste that is difficult to describe. Here, however, the fine scents and bitter aromas blend perfectly to create a delicious liqueur. However, opinions often differ when it comes to elderberry. If you are perhaps not immediately convinced by this spirit, the miniature version offers you a good opportunity to give this great flower a chance.

Flor de Cana Spresso Coffee Liqueur 0,7L 30%
Flor de Cana Spresso Coffee Liqueur 0.7L 30% Who is actually responsible for this liqueur? As a rum producer, Flor de Cana from Nicaragua has been active in the spirits market for quite some time, more precisely already in the 5th generation. Sustainability is very, very important in the distillery. The rum is already a premium fair trade certified rum! It is produced using 100% renewable energy and without any additives or added sugar. Spresso coffee liqueur Coffee lovers probably know Nicaragua for its world-famous coffee cultivation. So what could be more obvious than combining rum from Flor de Canã with coffee? This experience has now been put into a coffee liqueur. Amazingly, this coffee liqueur contains no caffeine, which is because the liqueur, which is based on the 7-year-old Flor de Cana rum, is refined with 100% natural coffee syrup. After distilling and refining, the coffee liqueur is stored in small bourbon barrels at the foot of a still active volcano. A fine aroma of rum and oak wood notes spreads on the nose, accompanied by an intense coffee aroma and arouses the desire for more! Rum and coffee are also clearly present on the palate, accompanied by a slight dryness. It is best served neat and chilled or on the rocks. If you want to make something like a 'cocktail' with the Spresso coffee liqueur, you should mix it with well-chilled milk or cream.
