The history of Nolet's Dry Gin Silver

The history of the Nolet family, which produces Nolet's Dry Gin Silver, goes back to 1691. That was when the Nolet distillery was founded, making it the oldest distillery in the Netherlands. For a long time, Genever, the national spirit of the Nollanders, was produced. Business was always good, but Genever consumption has fallen drastically in recent decades. The reason is that consumers are dying out, as young people prefer to enjoy spirits that reflect a certain lifestyle. The company is now in its tenth generation and managing director Carolus HJ Nolet had to rethink things. He then introduced Ketel 1 Vodka, which is now one of the best known vodkas on the market. After the great success of the vodka, the owners wanted to return to the company's roots and recently brought Nolet's Dry Gin Silver onto the market, which has its origins in classic genever.

The production of Nolet's Dry Gin Silver

Nolet's Dry Gin Silver is a London-style gin that is distilled in pot stills. This makes Nolet's Dry Gin Silver unique in the Netherlands. The botanicals used to make Nolet's Dry Gin Silver are also extremely untypical for a gin. In addition to the classic flavors such as juniper, licorice and citrus fruits, Turkish rose petals, white peach and raspberries are also used. With this new type of aroma, Nolet's Dry Gin Silver is clearly aimed at a new generation of drinkers who are looking for new tastes in classic spirits.

The taste of Nolet's Dry Gin Silver

The atypical botanicals naturally give Nolet's Dry Gin Silver a very special taste. On the nose, Nolet's Dry Gin Silver has a very floral smell and you can clearly detect fruity notes of raspberries and peaches. On the palate, Nolet's Dry Gin Silver initially seems quite strong due to its 47.6% vol., but then becomes very smooth and shows the aromas already known from the bouquet. The aftertaste is gentle and slightly sweet. Due to its overall lighter character, Nolet's Dry Gin Silver is ideal for classics such as the Martini Dry Cocktail. Its great fruit aromas come into their own particularly well in a Gin & Tonic! Anyone looking for a new kind of gin should definitely try Nolet's Dry Gin Silver!

Nolet’s Dry Gin The Reserve, 0,7 L, 52,3 %
Nolets Dry Gin The Reserve 0.7L 52.3% Nolet - A family story Even if the Nolet family, which produces Nolets Dry Gin The Reserve, may not be known to some connoisseurs, they are one of the most important producers of spirits in the Netherlands. The history goes back to 1691, when the Nolet distillery was founded by the entrepreneur Jan Lucasse Nolet. Nolet is therefore the oldest distillery still in existence in the Netherlands! Jan Lucasse passed the company on to his son Jacobus, who, with a lot of hard work and ambition, managed to successfully establish the distillery on the market. The distillery is now run by the 10th generation of the Nolet family. To be more precise, it is Carolus H.J. Nolet who is now the managing director. But in this position he was faced with the great challenge that in recent decades the demand for the distillery's core product - genever - had declined sharply. Many young consumers see this as an "old man's drink" and prefer to consume other spirits. It was no longer possible to rely on just one product and so Carolus H.J. Nolet successfully launched Ketel One Vodka on the market in 1983. Today, Ketel One Vodka is one of the most successful vodka brands in the world and the associated success enabled the managing director to pursue his own dream - producing his own gin! Nolet's Dry Gin The Reserve Nolet's "The Reserve" gin is no ordinary gin - several years have passed just to optimize the recipe. The special thing about "The Reserve" gin, which is produced in Schiedam, is that each botanical used is individually macerated and then distilled in a small copper still. The recipe clearly focuses on two botanicals - saffron and verbena. After the individual botanicals have been distilled, they are married and subjected to further maturation. This ensures that the individual aromas harmonize and an exceptional gin is created. Before bottling at a strong 52.3% vol., Carolus H.J. Nolet examines each individual bottle to ensure that only the best possible quality is bottled. The taste of Nolets Dry Gin The Reserve is unique, just like the product itself. The wonderfully distinctive saffron aroma is already evident on the nose, which can also be easily perceived on the palate in combination with a variety of floral and spicy impressions. Aftertaste? With a gin? Here, yes, because The Reserve manages to preserve the aromas on the palate for a few minutes even after the last sip. A great gin for great moments!

Nolet Dry Gin Silver Set inkl Glas 0,7L 47,6%
Nolet Dry Gin Silver Set including glass 0.7L 47.6% Dutch family business With know-how spanning over 325 years of family history, the Dutch distillery offers spirits of the highest quality. The Nolet family has been running the distillery for 11 generations and is based in Schiedam, very close to Rotterdam, and is therefore perfectly connected to shipping traffic. Nolet's Silver Dry Gin The gin from the family distillery in the Netherlands is by far one of the best gins in the world. The botanicals used set it apart from the crowd and give it an exquisite aroma. The exceptional botanicals include Turkish rose petals, peaches and aromatic raspberries. This special recipe for the gin was developed by the 10th and 11th generations together. It is very complex and time-consuming. Production begins with the preparation of separate macerates: firstly, herbs and other botanicals are soaked in alcohol, while secondly white peach, ripe raspberries and spices such as saffron and verbena are also macerated. These are then also distilled separately before being combined. Nolet Gin in a gift set with balloon glass The aroma of the white peach and the sweetness of the ripe raspberries in particular characterize the taste experience of the gin. It initially seems very strong on the palate, but this quickly develops into a soft and smooth drinking experience. The notes of the herbs remain elegantly in the background the whole time, allowing the fruity, sweet notes to take precedence. The 0.7l bottle of the harmoniously fruity Nolet's Gin comes with a matching balloon glass.
