Blended Scotch Whisky since 1834

The 'Lauders' brand was founded in 1834 by Archibald Lauder, a liqueur dealer from Glasgow at the time. In addition to selling various liqueurs, Lauder was also interested in whisky and was particularly interested in his own whisky creation. For this so-called 'Lauder's Finest' he married Low and Highland malts as well as Speyside malts with various other grain whiskies. Not only local whisky lovers enjoyed this blend, foreign whisky fans quickly loved it too.
Even though the aromas are more in the 'classic' range of whisky aromas, this blend has its own character.
The nose presents gentle caramel notes, accompanied by vanilla, a subtle spice and fruit. Lauder's Blended Whisky is very soft on the palate, with notes of caramel and fruit present. There are also notes of grain and a hint of oak. The sweetness of the fruit and a certain spiciness are still present in the finish.

J & B Rare Scotch Whisky, 1,0 L, 40%
J & B Rare Scotch Whisky, 1.0 L, 40% J & B Whisky The history of J & B Whisky goes back to the 18th century. At that time, Justerini, who comes from Bologna, moved to the British 'big city' of London. Equipped with old recipes for various liqueurs, Justerini's goal was to open his own spirits factory. Luckily, he met George Johnson in London, with whom he was able to open a small wine shop and pursue his dream. When Albert Brooks' business was put up for sale in 1831, they didn't have to think twice and bought the business. Brooks continued to offer advice and support for a while, so that over time they were able to specialize in the distribution of whisky. The taste You might think the makers of J & B Rare whisky are crazy when you hear that this is a blend of up to forty different grain whiskies. Contrary to all expectations, however, J & B Rare is a balanced and well-rounded blended whisky that is one of the most popular Scottish blends.

Inver House Green Plaid Whisky 0,7L 40%
Inver House Green Plaid Whisky 0.7L 40% Inver House Distillery The Scottish whisky company was founded by the Americans as a subsidiary in Scotland. Instead of buying into any company, they wanted to try their luck with their own distillery. They bought 'Airdrie' as a base and acquired the old paper mill. They converted this into a very large complex in 1964/65 and were able to start producing malt whisky and grain whisky. The distillery had two lines, Glen Flagler and Killyloch. In the years that followed, the company bought up several well-known distilleries: the Loch Lomond distillery, Catto's, Balbair and many more. It was only when the Americans gave up the distillery that the brand really took off. Inver House Green Plaid The addition 'Plaid' is the Scottish name for the checked wool tartan pattern used for the famous kilts. According to stories, the 'Green Plaid' was worn by the very first Lord of the Isles, a famous Viking warrior 'Tartan' from the 12th century. This can also be seen on the label of the whisky bottle. The Inver House Green Plaid combines all the refinements of the individual whisky distilleries: fruitiness from An Cnoc or malted barley for which Balbair is known.

VAT 69 Blended Scotch Whisky 0,7L 40%
VAT 69 Blended Scotch Whisky 0.7L 40% VAT 69 - A great whisky classic The Scotch Whisky Vat 69 is as well known as Johnnie Walker, J & B or Black & White. In recent years, the popularity of the Vat 69 Blended Whisky has increased enormously thanks to the TV series "Band of Brothers", but even before that, it was on everyone's lips, literally. The Vat 69 is manufactured in the Scottish capital Edinburgh by the William Sanderson company. The company was founded in Leith in 1863 and was one of the first to offer whisky in bottles. Until then, it was common for pubs and hotels to buy whisky by the barrel and then resell it by the glass. The original shape of the bottle was modeled on a port wine bottle, as these were particularly robust. However, a different bottle format is used for this 0.375 L bottling. William Sanderson began working in the wine and spirits industry at the tender age of 13. At the age of 24, he opened his own business, which his son William Mark Sanderson also joined. Together, the two then decided to bring a new blended Scotch onto the market and started various barrels, which they tasted together with fellow blenders and friends. The participants chose the barrel with the number 69 - VAT 69 - by a large majority. Not only was a great new blended whisky born, but the right name was also found. The Vat 69 Blended Whisky quickly made a name for itself and was taken by Ernest Henry Shackleton on his famous Antarctic expeditions in 1914 and 1921. The taste of the VAT 69 Blended Scotch Whisky The Vat 69 is a fruity, light and creamy blend. On the nose, the blended whisky has fine fruity but also spicy aromas. On the palate, the Vat 69 is also spicy and has a fine malt sweetness. The rather short aftertaste reveals aromas of apple, malt and caramel. A great everyday whisky!
