Glengoyne

The Glengoyne whisky distillery is located in the southern Highlands of Scotland. The distillery is best known for its various bottlings, with which it has won many awards over the years.
The distillery mainly uses barrels made of American or Spanish oak for maturation; these mostly come from Jerez and were previously filled with premium sherry.

Spirit of Oak Series

The Glengoyne Cuartillo is another product in the Spirit of Oak series, which presents whisky that has matured in various oak barrels. The Cuartillo matured in first-fill Oloroso sherry casks made of American oak. This gives the whisky a very fruity character, which can also be clearly perceived on the nose. This is accompanied by spicy notes such as cinnamon and vanilla. Pastry notes and clear fruit aromas introduce the medium-long, soft finish.

Macallan Single Malt Whisky Sherry Wood 12 Years, 0,7 L, 40%
Macallan Single Malt Whisky Sherry Wood 12 years, 0.7 L, 40% The history of Macallan Macallan is one of the most traditional malt whisky distilleries in Scotland. Macallan is one of the first legal distilleries in the country and was granted the right to distill in 1824. Several changes of ownership followed and from 1965 the number of stills was steadily increased in order to meet the growing demand. The six stills that were there in 1965 have now been increased to 21. With these seven wash stills and 14 spirit stills, Macallan currently produces around 6,000,000 litres of malt whisky annually. Due to their enormous complexity, Macallan's bottlings are equally popular with blenders and single malt connoisseurs, which is why special bottlings like this Macallan Sherry Wood 12 years often quickly disappear from the market. The enormous quality of Macallan makes it one of the most sought-after malt whiskies of all, with lovers sometimes paying dizzying sums for older bottlings. The production of the Macallan Sherry Wood 12 years Until a few years ago, The Macallan matured all of its whiskies in Oloroso sherry casks and received recognition from all sides for its excellent quality. After sherry casks became extremely expensive in recent years, new bottlings stored in normal oak casks came onto the market, which suddenly no longer had any of the original Macallan character to offer. The 12-year-old whisky offered here is still surrounded by sherry-saturated wood, making the Macallan Single Malt Scotch Whisky Sherry Wood 12 years a true pearl. The taste of the Macallan Whisky Sherry Wood 12 years On the nose, the Macallan Whisky Sherry Wood 12 years is creamy, full and balanced, with fresh sherry notes, dried fruit and malt aromas complementing the first impression. In the mouth, a lush, elegant malt whisky with light orange and wood tones. The aftertaste of the Macallan Sherry Wood 12 years is surprisingly long and complex for a whisky in this age category. Can a whisky be popular and outstanding? It can!

Glengoyne Single Malt Whisky Balbaina 1,0L 43%
Glengoyne Single Malt Whisky Balbaina 1.0L 43% Glengoyne Highland Single Malt Scotch Distillery The distillery's origins go back to 1820 on the Burnfoot Farm. George Connell secretly began distilling whisky under the best conditions to avoid the tax collector. A hidden waterfall and a small gorge offered him the perfect conditions for this. Connell acquired an official distilling license for Glenguin of Burnfoot for the first time in 1833. The distillery kept this name until the beginning of the 20th century, when it was renamed the Glengoyne Distillery as it is known today. To this day, the special thing about the distillery is that the distillates mature in imported sherry casks. One to save a few marks, of course, but it was quickly noticed that it gave the whisky a particularly complex taste. Today, importing the barrels is probably the more expensive way of maturing whisky, but the complex sweet, fruity, spicy taste of Glengoyne is well known and so this style has been retained. The unmistakable taste When you open the bottle you are immediately treated to fine aromas. A hint of the finest chocolate as well as the scent of aromatic orange marmalade and freshly baked biscuits waft from the bottle. There is also a strong spicy note: barley malt and the strong notes of the sherry barrels have their effect, while sweet, fruity notes of red wine round off the aroma. When you then taste the Glengoyne Balbaina Single Malt it seems even more exciting. The already aromatic Tough is accompanied by spicy notes of cinnamon and cloves on the palate. The fruity side of the single malt is also deepened, with apple and date aromas recognizable here. The multi-layered Glengoyne is convincing throughout and rounds off the overall picture with a great finish. The taste is rounded off with a long finish and further aromas of oak, roasted brown sugar and a hint of citrus.

Glengoyne Single Malt Whisky 12 Yo Time Keeper Set with tumbler 0,7L 43%
Glengoyne Single Malt Whisky 12 Years Time Keeper Set with Glass 0.7L 43% Glengoyne The Scottish Glengoyne whisky distillery also has a long history. It was founded in 1833 by a local farmer named Georg Connell. Initially, the illegal distillery was operated under the name 'Burnfoot Distillery' until it was finally given its current name 'Glengoyne' at the beginning of the 20th century. 12 Years Time Keeper Set with Glass 'Time is a gift' - is the company's advertising slogan for this great gift set. At the distillery, this refers both to the production process, for which people like to take their time, and to the enjoyment of the finished product. The 12-year maturation takes place in both bourbon and sherry casks in the traditional warehouses, which, unlike the distillery itself, are located in the Lowlands. These consist of moist clay soils, which create a special climate for storage. This means that a perfect balance between fresh notes and the typically soft character of the Glengoyne could be created over the maturation period.

The Glenlivet 12 year old Double Oak Single Malt Whisky 0.7L 40% incl. 2 glasses The Glenlivet It was George Smith who founded his own distillery in Speyside, Scotland in 1823. However, he only received the official foundation and thus the official license to distill years later, after he had already been distilling illegally. This enabled him to gain a good reputation first nationwide and later worldwide. The 12 year old is almost a classic, one might say, because it has been available since 1935. However, after it was taken off the market in 2015, it received a small makeover, so to speak, and is now presented as 12 year old Double Oak. The twice distilled Glenlivet matures for 12 years in American oak barrels and European oak barrels. After this time, the whisky is then blended and a wonderful aroma is created. The aroma is bursting with fruit and a hint of vanilla, on the palate it is extremely soft and almost creamy. Here we are offering you this wonderful single malt in a beautiful gift set with 2 glasses and a 0.7L bottle of the 12-year-old Double Oak.
