It is named after the Glen Grant stream, which carries the water for production. After both brothers died, James Grant's son took over the distillery. Towards the end of the 19th century, he built another distillery across the street, Caperdonich (better known as Glen Grant No. 2). A good 100 years later, the company merged with JG and Georg Smith to form 'The Glenlivet & Glen Grant Distillers'. As the company's history progressed, the distillery was taken over by many others, including Chivas Bothers/Pernod Ricard in 1977 and the Campari Group in 2005. There is a pleasant aroma of fruit from the orchard, almonds and citrus fruits. These delicate notes continue on the palate, complemented by baked apple pie and caramel, and the 12 YO malt whisky ends with a long-lasting fruit aroma and a balanced spiciness.

Grant's Triple Wood Blended Whisky 0.7L 40% Dark amber reflections and a fruity bouquet The basis of the Triple Wood, which has only recently been released on the market, is the classic from the William Grant distillery that has been known since 1898. For the Triple Wood, as you might have guessed, it was distilled in three different barrels made of American white oak. No. 1 is a virgin oak cask, a new barrel that has never been filled. No. 2 is a first fill cask and No. 3 is a refill bourbon cask. All three can have different effects on the whisky, some give more depth and subtle fruit notes, others a hint of vanilla and a smoky character. All in all, however, the whisky's aromas are perfectly balanced. In the glass you can enjoy a great view of dark amber. The bouquet opens with clear fruit notes, which are particularly reminiscent of apple or banana. On the palate there is a hint of malt and vanilla, both of which provide a pleasant sweetness.

Glen Grant Single Malt Whisky Arboralis 0.7L 40% Arboralis Single Malt Whisky Arboralis refers to the old Victorian garden, which is located in the immediate vicinity of the Glen Grant distillery. The name is an allusion to this storage location, because translated it means something like 'light that shines through the trees'. In this old garden, the whisky is stored partly in bourbon and partly in sherry casks. This is married in a ratio of 9:1. In terms of taste, this new single malt whisky has a lot to offer. On the nose, it is initially fruity notes such as peach, banana and pear that pamper the senses. Honey and a hint of vanilla are also present. If you now take a small sip, an equally fruity bouquet develops. Here, however, there are other fruits that you can recognize. There are orange and apple, as well as peach with a hint of vanilla. Something reminiscent of tea hangs in the background. The finish is medium-long, with further notes, this time of a more spicy character.
